Oscar Seaton Sr

Oscar Seaton, was born September 10, 1941 in Duncan Mississippi. He was the fifth child of fourteen children born
to Calvin William and Ethel Seaton, who preceded him in death.
Oscar, being born and  raised in a Christian home, accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.
In 1960, his family moved to Chicago, Illinois and joined New Canaan Land M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. B.C. Clady. 
Oscar served faithfully in the church as a Trustee and financial secretary.
Oscar continued his education in Chicago before being drafted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country for 4 years.
Oscar began his career at Union Carbide, quickly being promoted to manager. His mind for management led him to leave Union Carbide to work for Allstate Insurance and franchise his own agency. He served his insurance community for over 40 years' with integrity and pride.
On June 22, 2002, Oscar united in marriage to his love, Sharon Riggins.
In 2004, he joined St. Mark M. B. Church under the leadership of Bishop Willie L. Jordan.
Oscar had a great love for his family. It was evident through his leadership and support of everyone that he loved.
Oscar's favorite past time was his passion for golf. He loved spending time on the golf course with his golfing friends. You could find him on the golf course, on a week day, on the weekend, and sometimes before he went to work. He also loved to watch sports with his sons.
Oscar loved to entertain people in his home. He enjoyed firing up the grill or frying some fish to feed anyone who came to visit. 
On June 20, 2020, in the quiet and stillness of his home, Oscar peacefully transitioned to his Heavenly Home.
Oscar is preceded in death by four sisters, Arguster, Remal, Dorothy and Delores. six brothers, Louis, Clidae, Ossis, Excell, Milton and Calvin Seaton.
Oscar leaves cherished memories in the hearts of his loving wife, Sharon Seaton, daughters, Patricia Rucker(Brian), Wanda Jackson and Tenesia Riggins  Sons, Oscar Jr., Derrick, Carlton, Cedric, Terry, Quinton,  Rudolph and Keymacha. Three siblings, Bobbie, Verna and Ricky(Elaine)  Very special Auntie, Carrie Grant. Grandchildren Tiffany(Tyler), Brian, Dionte, Kyree, Sean-Gabriel. Idris and Kaiden. Three Great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
