Annie Maude Ransom was born April 13th, 1942 in Macon, Georgia to the late Lazarus (Dad), and Norabell (Mom) Ransom; she was the 9th of their n children. Annie moved to the Chicago Area in 1961; when she was only 19 years old.
Annie later joined Maranatha Baptist Church in 2005. She was a very active member volunteering with almost every activity the Church presented to the Community of Calumet City. The whole neighborhood was familiar with her dressing up on Sundays and making her way to Church.
Annie loved her Bible, soul food, and completing 1000-piece puzzles. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving and she welcomed everyone to the family dinner. She was always laughing and wearing a smile on her face.
Annie was a loving person, devoted mother, and kind friend. Annie always put children first, She always made sure everyone ate, and she always made sure she updated everyone about everything. Annie's presence will truly be missed.
Annie was blessed with 4 children of her own: Fred Gilbert, Patricia Ransom, the late Tyrone Perkins, and Albert Perkins. She leaves to cherish IO grandchildren (including the late Guy Q. Lopez Jr.,) a numerous host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
