Anthony Scott was born in Chicago, IL. on October 2nd 1959, to Gertrude Scott and Marshall Thompson. Anthony accepted Christ at an early age; he united with Grace
Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Emmitt Rule, Jr.
since 1989; he preceded Anthony in death. Anthony continued to attend under of current Pastor, Bryant Rule at Temple of Grace.
Anthony attended Oakenwald North/South, Dr. Martin Luther King High School, Coyne College and ITT Technical Institute in Chicago, IL, graduating with an associates in engineering.
Anthony's #1 hobby was reading the Bible. He also enjoyed playing Chess, watching CNN, Science Fictional Movie's, different cars, building things, and talking on the phone. Elder Anthony Scott was a hard-working man, he started off his career at an early age working for Mayflowers Cab, Marriott Hotel, Empress Casino, and spent many years at CT A where he later retired.
Anthony departed this life July 15, 2025 at his home, six months and eleven days after his Beautiful Wife of 38 years. Anthony is preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Dixon-Scott; Mother, Gertrude Scott; Mother-in-law, Viola Dixon; Father-in-law, Harry Dixon; brothers: Larry Scott and Charles Scott; sisters: Kathleen Scott and Catherine Scott; and three sisters-in-law: Jane Dixon-Hillard, Edna Dixon-Buntyn and Octavia Dixon.
Anthony's beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his sons: Anthony Dixon (Lana Dixon), Antoine Scott, and Antonio Scott; ten grandchildren; two great-grands; his brother, Gregory Scott; sisters: Peggie Lyons, Mary Jane, Laura Ann Scott, and Carolyn Scott; his brother, Greg01y Scott; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Woody, Freda Wade-Long Qames), Harriet Dixon, and Kimberly Dixon-Wilson (Anthony Wilson); brothers-in-law: Dequincy Dixon (Carrie Dixon), and Har1y Dixon, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, other family, many friends; and special friends: Victoria and Harry Dixon Jr.
