In the beginning, God created the heavens and d1e earth. Barbara Lynette Jones was born in Bells, Tem1csscc, on November 28, 1952, to the union of Thomas Jones Jr. and Nettie Jeannette Jones. She was the oldest of four children.
Barbara was united in holy man-imony to Thomas Ketchum on July 10, 1976. Together, d1ey shared two children. She first, accepted Cln-ist as a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois.At the time ofhcr transition, she was a member at Faith Movers Church, located in Crete, Illinois, under the guidance of Senior Pastor Moses Hcn-ing. She was called home, on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Her parents, Nettie Wcad1ers and Thomas Jones Jr. preceded her in dcad1.
Barbara graduated from Parkside Elcmcntaiy School, and South Shore High Sd1ool and later attended Olive Harvey Jr. College. She spent more d1an thirty ye
!mown as ''The Red Hatters." She enjoyed attending plays with d1em, their social outings as well as their Monday lunches.
Barbara loved her family and would do anything for d1em. She enjoyed spending time shopping, eating at various restaurGmts, bowling wid1 ''The Cousins" and listening to old gospel music. Her past time was spent watching soap operas and YouTube Influencers. Barbara loved her sister, her best friend. She helped her sister raise Alyssia and Danny.
