Bernice Seaton, affectionately known as "Bon," was born on December 7, 194I, in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, to the late Delia Jenkins and John Seaton. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Wonders Holmes Baptist Church in her hometown.
