Beulah Morris Obituary
Mother Beulah Peters-Morris was born on February 6, 1937 in Columbia, Mississippi to the union of Ernestine Toney and Tommy Lee Peters. Her formative years were influenced by Archie Aaron, Sr. She attended Globe Academy in Columbia, Mississippi.
At the age of 6 she accepted Christ as her Savior, joined and was baptized at New Hope Methodist Church. She became an Assistant Sunday School Teacher at the age of 13. She also served as Youth Director while at New Hope.
Mother Beulah Peters-Morris was united in holy matrimony to Robert W. Morris, Sr., and to this union 3 children were born: Patrick, Robert, Jr. and Carrie Morris. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was loved dearly throughout the community. She motivated and encouraged those who came into her presence.
A period after moving to Illinois, she joined Kings Highway Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Rev. Milton Wright. She later was led to unite with True Vine Missionary Baptist where she presently remained. Mother Morris loved and enjoyed working for the LORD. She was a GREAT PRAYER WARRIOR and BIBLE SCHOLAR. She especially loved being a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church.
She served faithfully in many areas, a member of the Sanctuary Choir, Sunday School, Noon Day Prayer Ministry, Women’s Ministry and the Mother’s Board Ministry. She served as President of the Mission and Building Fund Ministries. In addition, she was a member of the Progressive National Baptist Convention.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Tommy Peters, Ernestine and Archie Aaron; 3 brothers: Charles Aaron, Louis Aaron and Henry Lee; 2 sisters: Mary Warren and Marjorie Peters.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband Robert W. Morris, Sr.; 3 children: Patrick, Robert, Jr. and Carrie (Tida); brothers and sisters: Curtis (Annie Ruth) Aaron, Hubert (Tracey) Aaron, Kelton (Elnora), Aaron, Archie, Jr. (Mary Ann) Gary, IN, Rev. Donald (Jackie) Aaron, Foxworth, MS, Linda Aaron, Poplarville, MS, Douglas (Shirley) Peters, Kenneth (Pixie) Peters, Tommy (Mar), Toni Peters and Tomeka Peters; 15 grandchildren: Dieon, Knadya, Robert, Iyesha, Anthony, Jalen, Patrick, Mea, Khamari, Lakiera, Nijia, Zamyia, Konya, Keshawn, K-Jon; 9 great grandchildren: Javier, Azzaline, Azzyia, Paisley, Ali, Edris, Xavier, Amari, Amaya; 1 Godson, Demetrius Carter.
