Catheryn Ravazee Harris' Obituary
Catheryn Harris Obituary
Catherine Lynette Ravazee-Harris, Jr. was born at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Illinois on May 21, 1995, to the union of Rickey and Cathern Harris. She was their one and only beloved beautiful bright eyed girl. Their bundle of joy!
When Cathern was a toddler she was called “Tinka, Tinka Too” by her mom. As she grew older she was affectionately called “Little Cathy” and “Cookie”. She was a genuine precious gem. She loved Jesus!
Little Cathy was home schooled by her mom and they were inseparable. She accepted Christ at a very early age. Little Cathy fulfilled her God given assignment by being a “Servant”. She had unconditional love and appreciation for her parents.
When her mom took ill, Little Cathy took the responsibility for
becoming her mom’s caregiver along with her dad. She denied her needs to ensure their world was complete. Her smile could light up a room. She enjoyed laughing, singing, family, and praising the Lord. Little Cathy was a member of Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church. She was baptized May 6, 2007 by Pastor Alfred E. Smith. She enjoyed singing in the choir and learning about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Little Cathy was called by the Lord on November 6, 2018. On the day she was called, she was in the middle of dancing and praising the Lord. She heard his call and though she loved her family, she loved the Lord more. She answered his call and went home to the Heavenly Choir.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Early and Dan Ethel Ravazee and Vera Harris, cousins Menarie and Roderick Capehart.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her parents: Rickey and Cathern Harris, Sr.; Grandfather, Alfred Harris, Sr.; Aunts: Deborah Ravazee, Kimberly Ravazee, Vera Porch (Nell), Dawnita Taylor; uncles: Early Ravazee, Jr. (Gena), Andre Milledge (Traci), Daniel Capehart (Keandra), Mickey Harris, Alfred Harris, Jr., John Harris (Lisa), Angelo Harris; Great Aunts: Mary Hicks, Zettie Harris, and Seretha Ravazee and a host of cousins who she loved with all of her heart.
