Chelaray Collins Obituary
Chelaray Renard "Chaz" Collins, was born on October 12, 1971 at Ingalls Hospital in Harvey, IL. to Jacqueline and Cunis Collins He was a happy child, but he was their only child.
Chaz started grade school in the Harvey District, but ended up going to Sieden Prairie School in Matteson, IL; and lacer entered Rich South High School in Richton Park Chaz enjoyed spores, and he was a total "jock" in high school. He played basketball, and football, and ran cross country crack After high school, he attended Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, IL. where he majored in accounting; and played football.
Chaz met and married Yoshida Vaughn with (Tyler Willis); together they had three daughters: Jaaya, Anitra, Chazidee, Jacqueline, and Leah. Now living in North Carolina, Chaz loved these four young ladies.
After working in Accounting at Douglas Elliman Real Estate Company for several years, Chaz realized that working with your hands cakes many forms. He started repairing things: home repairs, maintenance, painting, drywall, flooring, etc. He quickly became a "jack of all trades".
Chaz met and married Nicole Turner in Mount Vernon, IL. He acquired a stepson, Princeton; four stepdaughters: Quenaceia, Ke'asha, Rakiyah and Jakeena. Rakiyah preceded him in death; and his wife Nicole, lase month.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2024 his mom discovered chat he had quietly slipped away from us in his sleep. God called him home.
Chaz leaves to cherish many good memories to: his mother, Jacqueline; his father, Cunis; his daughters; stepdaughters; stepson; mother-in-law; Demetris Vaughn (Lenny); brothers-in-law: Robert and Ryan; his six favorite aunts: Barbara, Norma, Linda, Gail, Brenda and Liza; his three favorite uncles: Bernard, Junior, and his 'honorary brother', his uncle Keith; many first cousins: Torry and Keisha; many second cousins, third, etc.; good friends: Don Williams; and many acquaintances.
