Delores Jene Graham, the only girl of six, born on January 19, 1946 in Chicago Illinois to Earlene Moore and John Powell, held many titles with style and grace; including, wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, mentor, and perhaps most important, provider and woman of God.
Delores will be lovingly remembered by her mother Earlene Davis and children Felicia Kuykindall, Janice Williams, Jacqueline Williams, Tonia Lewis, and Terrence Williams (wife Sonya Williams). Delores will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Jessica Garica, Micahel Kuykindall, Justin Robinson, Anthony Pedrosa (wife Lauren Pedrosa), Jocelyn Washington, Alissa Wesson, Desmon Wesson, Isaiah Bryant, DeAndre Ratcliff, Sadahri Wright, Ashely Mahmoud, Kyra Sledge, Sylvia Williams, Chance Williams, and Armani Williams; great grandchildren Sydney Kuykindall, Justin Robinson Jr., Dontrell Herrins, Je’Saiah Garcia, Tyler Washington, Teniyah Washington, Miko Thompkins, and Karson Love; and brothers Donnie Powell, Jerome Powell, and Raymond Powell.
Delores was predeceased by her husband Earl Graham, father John Powell, brothers Leon Powell and Melvin Powell, daughter Cynthia Williams, grandson Marcus Kuykindall and granddaughter Ebony Lewis.
Growing up in Chicago with 5 brothers it’s safe to say she was always loved and protected. She remained close to her family throughout her life. She was the rock and strength for many. Delores' reach went far beyond familial and friendship ties.l, she touched the lives of countless people with her work ethic, personality, and generosity.
She took great pride in her work as pastry chef/baker for Dominick's (retired), creating delicious and wonderful treats for many occasions. She used her charm and beauty to brighten the room. She was fashionista with an impeccable sense of style (renowned for her hats). Delores was the life of the party; she knew how to make people laugh and smile. Delores was resourceful, she used all of her gifts as a mechanism to provide and care for her loved ones. Delores will be missed by many, but forgotten by none.
