Diwanda King-Branch's Obituary
Diwanda King-Branch Obituary
Diwanda Carol King-Branch, was born to the union of Christine King and Johnnie W. King, Jr. of Durant, MS. on August 19, 1960, in Chicago, IL. Born as a twin to her brother Johnnie W. King, III, Diwanda has always been a protector of her family members. At an early age, Diwanda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, she was baptized by Reverend Coleman at Bel-Aire Park M.B. Church.
On May 9, 1980, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Kenneth Keith Branch. To this union two children were born. In 1994, the family relocated from Markham, IL. to Brooklyn Park, MN. As a Health Care Provider for most of her career, Diwanda used her professional platforn1 to serve as a protector, and overseer of not only her children, but others within her community. She was a pillar of strength wherever she went, always encouraging, mentoring, and displaying the love of Christ to so many.
Diwanda and her family eventually moved back to Illinois, where she continued to take an active interest in the well-being of her community. She was truly well loved and respected by so many.
Diwanda was the comedian of the family, always telling a joke to make you laugh, especially when going through (in die bottom of the valley moments) when all you wanted to do was cry out in anguish. She had a (God given gift) at helping others find the positive within the mist of chaos.
On Thursday, the 30th of January 2025, Diwanda C. King-Branch entered eternity with a bright beautiful smile, as she was received by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a loving Wife, Mocher, Grandmother (MaDea), and Sister.
Diwanda was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Keith Branch; loving parents, Johnnie W. King Jr. and Christine Ellis King; brother, Johnnie W. King, III; Nieces, Elizabeth Edwards and Mari Christine Edwards; and great-nephew Jadakis Chandelier.

her again in Paradise
