Donna Brown Obituary
Donna Jean Littlejohn-Brown was born on April 25, 1950. She was raised as the twelfth child of thirteen, and youngest daughter to James A. Littlejohn, and Rebecca Littlejohn in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Both have preceded her in death.
From her earliest years, she developed a deep affection for her family, and had an unwavering adherence to the religious practices taught to her as a young child. She played the piano, and received lessons from the age of five until the age of nineteen. As a teenager Donna sang soprano, and played the piano and organ at her church, First Church of God In Christ in Greensburg, PA. In 1968 she graduated from Hempfield High School. Donna returned to school, and successfully completed her first year of school at Prairie State College with a 3.8 grade point average in 2016. After which she decided to follow her other passions of life.
In 1970 she wed Eugene L. Brown, Sr. who was also raised in the same church, and sang in the choir with Donna. They had two children to their union, Eugene Jr., and Kimberly. Donna was a house wife until she became a widow in 1992. Throughout her marriage she led Vacation Bible School classes, was the room mother for most of her children’s classrooms, and, she was well known for her delicious holiday cupcakes and cookies. In 1994 she began to work in the mortgage industry where she was very successful, and became a branch manager.
Donna always enjoyed spending time with her children, and her grandchild Lee, affectionately known as Trey, whom she was extremely proud of and thankful to have. She was known to be very loving, kind, and giving. She was also well known for her quick wit and sharp tongue.
Quietly on May 18, 2019 Donna made her transition from this world leaving always to cherish her loving memory her children, Eugene Jr., Kimberly (Richard), brother Jerome Littlejohn (Renee), sister Delores Cook, her beloved grandson, Lee, and numerous family members and friends. She will forever be in our hearts, and a sharp guiding voice in our minds.
