On September 9, 1949, Doris was born to the union of Willis and Hulena Waller in Chicago, IL. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Daniel Chapel A.M.E Zion Church. She was the youngest of five children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her dear husband Albert Kirklin, Sister Maxine Stewart, Brother Larry Waller. Doris attended Austin High School on the West Side of Chicago and graduated in 1969. Shortly after she attended Jones College. At the age of 22 she married her true love Albert Kirklin of 47 years. She became the best mother EVER to 3 her daughters Shenea, Angel and Karla. Doris began her career at Chicago Cable and retired from At&t where a lot of her co-workers became more like family.
Doris was not only an Excellent wife and mother but also a great friend to many. She had a heart of gold and touched many souls. She leaves to celebrate her life her beloved daughters: Shenea Kirklin, Karla Kirklin and Angel Harris (Chris). Her grandchildren: Kaelin Thames, Jalyn Spencer, Eric Landingham Jr., Asja and Allaya Jones, Hunter Spencer. Sister: Floris Townsend, Brother: Earl Waller. And a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Doris will FOREVER be missed but will FOREVER be in our Hearts.
