On June 27, 1935 to James T. Crump, Sr. and Estella Tillman, welcomed into the world a beautiful daughter, Dorothy N. Cmmp. She was born in Brookhaven, MS. Dorothy's parents preceded her in death, also her husband, son, and her brother.
Dorothy aka "Dot", accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She united with Ebenezer Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS. While attending Progressive High School, she met and joined hands with her everlasting partner on April 24, 1954. Out of this union were born seven children.
In 1970, she fOlmd her Church Home in Markham where she joined Universal Baptist Churd1 in Markham, where she remained a member Lmttl 2025, when she joined St. Marks Missionary Baptist Church in Harvey, IL Dorothy did not work w1ttl her youngest son was able to attend school all day.She then was employed byJewels Corporation; from there she left Jewels and was employed by Ingalls Memorial Hospital where she retired in 1999.
On April n, 2025, surrounded by Family and Friends who she cherished the most, Dorothy made her transition. She heard the Lord say, "Well done my child. Time to come Home. Your work here is Done."
Dorothy stepped from Time to Eternity. To celebrate her life are her daughter, Shelia Black Walls (Zack), Adolph Black (Judy) of California, Robert A Black (Marlon Hampton) of Han1mond, IN, Ronald Blad(, Mar-kham, IL, George A Black of Minnesota, Robert Black Jr. (Sonya) ofMar·kham, IL; a Special person, Cynthia Williams; 29 grandchildren; 8 great granddnldren;and 3 great-great-granddnldren.
