Earl Grenada Woodfork's Obituary
Earl Woodfork Obituary
Earl Grenada Woodfork was born in Chicago, IL. on August 15, 1961, to the union of William E. Woodfork and Essie Mae Woodfork. As a child, Earl's mother established a very close bond with him as evident of her love and protection for her first-born child. She home-schooled him as a baby before she allowed him to attend kindergarten. This was before home-schooling was ever thought to be an option. Each day, while in school, his mother's face would be the last he saw when dropping him off and the first face seen when picking him up. This continued until his mother's health failed her in an unforeseen accident.
Earl went on to continue his education graduating as one of the top students from his high school. He received an associate's degree in criminal justice from Loop College now known as Harold Washington College of Chicago. Earl became employed with the United States Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago, 11 where he met and married Charlesetta Tally, August 20, 1988. To this union one beautiful daughter was born: Felicia Renee Woodfork.
Earl accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and to this end we commit his soul in the hands of God! Through the challenges of living and the failure of his body, Earl G. Woodfork was called home on September r, 2024, at Ingalls Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents William Earl Woodfork and Essie Mae Woodfork.
Earl leaves to cherish his memories: one child Felicia (John) Woodfork-Swearengen of Chicago, IL; his siblings one brother, Pastor Ronnie (Ruth) Woodfork of South Holland, IL; and sister Bonnie Marie Woodfork of Indianapolis, IN; nephews William L. Woodfork of South Holland, IL. and Dante' E. Miles of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren: John IV Swearengen and Jordan Swearengen; his beautiful aunt, Frankie (Ellis) Grace of LaPorte, IN.; his uncle David (Robin) Ford of Michigan City, IN; his best friend Jose' Anderson of Chicago, IL. and a host of other family and friends!
