Not many people will know, some years back, that Butch represented Rosa Parks Elementary School at a White Sox game as “Obama Bear.†He felt silly in the costume, but I reassured him that he could not be recognized. However, at the game, he was featured on the Jumbotron as it was announced that representing the School as “Obama Bear†was Elmer “Butch†Newton. He felt pretty silly but he loved those children.
