Faye Denise Moore's Obituary
Faye Moore Obituary
In the small town of Charleston, Missouri parents Robert and Barbara Moore welcomed their second baby girl. Faye Denise Moore made her debut with a big bang on July 5, 1964! She was the big bang from then on!
After moving to Illinois in 1969, Faye attended the public schools of District 147 and District 205 in Harvey, Il. Attending McKinley Elementary School and Thornton Township High School graduating with Wildcats class of 1982. Subsequently, she went on to South Suburban College and earned an Associate's Degree of Applied Sciences. She later returned to South Suburban College and earned a certificate in Finance.
In 20n, after the death of her close friend, Carolyn Glascock, Faye felt she needed a change. She left: Illinois and made Navarre, Florida her home. In 2016, while still in Florida, she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona while also being employed as Merchandise Supervisor at Home Depot. Missing her family, Faye decided to move back to Illinois in 2018. She transferred her Home Depot job and title and worked with Home Depot another year or so before being hired at Amazon as FC Associate I. She remained a loyal and faithful employee until her illness no longer allowed her to work earlier this year. Faye never stopped learning. She went through several other programs earning many certificates and awards of recognition for her achievements.
In 2022, she went through rigorous training at Amazon to become an advocate who fought for her rights and those of others with disabilities. Faye was extremely passionate about discrimination towards persons with disabilities. She was outspoken and would share what was on her mind at any given time. Her language could get quite colorful! No matter how complex she might have been, Faye loved hard. Though she never had any children she had
many kids! She loved every one of them equally and spoiled them just the same. The kids loved Auntie Faye, and she would kill a brick for one if not all! She loved her family passionately and was always eager to have family gatherings. She was not a cook Ok, she could not cook AT ALL, but she could order Uber Eats or Door Dash like an Olympic gold
medalist! You were not going to be hungry on her watch!
Her bright smile was the light in every room while her presence was known and heard very loudly! She was so very gifted at writing poetry. Her deepest thoughts were captured on paper through poems. Writing was a form of therapy for her. Faye was also the tax lady. She would worry your entire soul to make sure you completed your taxes in a timely fashion.
Under her mother's and grandmothers' guidance and teaching, Faye accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. During her formative years she was a member of Second Baptist Church, which later became Christ First Baptist Church, under the Leadership of Pastor Napoleon Davis. When she returned to Illinois in 2018, she found a church home that met her spiritual needs where she was led and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Until her death, not only was she a dedicated parishioner, but she was also a member of the music ministry at the River of Life Community Church in Clarendon Hills, IL. under the leadership of Pastor Bucky Kerr.
Faye was known to hit a mean beat on the bongo. Yes, she played the bongo! It was something she enjoyed immensely. On the morning of Thursday, August 22, 2024, Faye
whispered a gentle prayer to our heavenly Father. He gently answered. Come home daughter. will give you rest! And with that she gave up the ghost and reunited with both maternal and paternal grandparents, her father, her baby brother Kevin, and her close friend Carolyn.
Left to navigate a new normal without Faye's physical presence but with cherished memories are her mother, Barbara Moore; Sisters: Rosline Gayden and Sherri Moore Carter (Marc); Nephews: Eugene, and Hakeem Gayden; Nieces: Diamond Brown (Jared) and Kela Moore (Patrick); Great nephews: Lathan Alexander, Kyden, Kaisen and Pryce Vantrease; Great nieces: La'Kinzie King, Paisley Vantrease and Royalty Purnell; Lifetime friend, Sandy Swanson; and an extensive host of family, friends, acquaintances, and church family who will all hold her close to the heart. No matter who or what the relationship was with Faye, she left: an indelible mark on all our lives and will be deeply and eternally missed!
