“A time to be born”
Fritz Morris Huff was the sixth child, born to the late Cobbie and Edna Theresa Huff on December 5, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. Fritz was born approximately twenty minutes before his twin brother Fred Huff.
“A time to plant”
Fritz attended McKinley Grade School, in Harvey, Illinois. He then graduated from Thornton Township High School in, June of 1973 where he ran track. He briefly attended Thornton Community College. Fritz enlisted in the United States Army. He was awarded an honorable discharge upon completion of his service. Fritz was also an auxiliary member of the United States Coast Guard.
“A time to love”
Fritz was smiled upon when he met Julia Smith. Their relationship was further blessed with the arrival of their pride and joy, a daughter, Theresa Marie. Fritz and Theresa formed a bond that they both treasured throughout his life time. Fritz depended heavily upon his daughter’s relationship and assistance until his final days.
“A time to reap”
Fritz was a truck driver by trade and a proud member of the Teamsters Local 786 Union. He drove a cement truck for thirty years until his retirement from Accurate Concrete which later was acquired by Prairie Construction.
