James Jones Obituary
James A Jones was born on August 24, 1965 in Cook County Hospital to Mrs. Lucy Jones and Mr. Jimmy Mitchell. He was the youngest of five children.
James, affectionately called "Bates" by his family and close friends, attended Englewood High School. He had a great smile and was an excellent dancer! He loved his vehicles and his job, retired from U.S. Steel Gary Works in 2018.
James departed this life on August n, 2024.His parents, Mrs. Lucy Jones and Mr. Jimmy Mitchell, his sister Mrs. Ozema Samuels, his brother Mr. Robert V. Jones preceded him in death.
James leaves to cherish fond memories in the hearts of his children: Mrs. Charlene Sims (Freddie Sims), and Mr. James Jones, Jr., grandson, Princeton Sims; two brothers: Mr. Willie Jones, and Mr. Winston Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; special cousins, a host of other living relatives, friends, and coworkers.
