Joe was born November 25, 1933 in Hamilton, MS. to the union Joe and Pauline Reed Joe was the ninth child of fourteen siblings.
Joe accepted by Christ at an early age, and moved to Chicago Heights, IL. in 1955 where he met and married his wife, Jeanette Reed. The couple had three children: Jacqueline (deceased), Joe and Betty Reed.
Joe also has six grandchildren: Teaira, Allan, Ceaira (deceased), Keith, Kierra and Shiena; and ten great-grandchildren.
Joe worked at several factories: Steger Furniture, and Ingall Steel Box Companies. He was very hard working and dedicated to his family.
Joe is preceded in death by five brothers: Felix Reed, Fred Reed, George Reed, Johnnie Reed, and Robert Reed; five sisters: Josephine Tisadale, Nancy Stovall, Nadine Cobbs, Catherine Brown, and Madora Reed; his living siblings are: Lawrence (Fannie Reed)
of Park Forest, IL., Charles Reed of Amory, MS., and Wilda Cannon of Chicago, IL.
