Lamont's spiritual journey began at a young age when he joined Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where he found solace, community, and a deep connection to his faith. He carried these values with him throughout his life, always displaying a strong sense of compassion and empathy for others.
After graduating from Christian Fenger High School, Lamont served in the United States Army, a testament to his sense of duty and patriotism. His commitment to family and community endured as he went on to work as a Greyhound ticket
Greyhound ticket agent. Lamont's most cherished role was that of a full-time father and caregiver. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to nurturing and supporting his loved ones.
Lamont had a passion for music that knew no bounds, with a special fondness for R&B, Hip-Hop, and Rap.
As an avid sports enthusiast, Lamont was a dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs, sharing in the joys and tribulations of the team's journey. He also had a knack for BBQ grilling, which he enjoyed in all types of weather, creating mouthwatering dishes that will
be missed.
In addition to his love for music and sports, Lamont had a gift for words. He found solace in writing and engaging in spirited debates, displaying a sharp intellect and an unwavering dedication to his principles.
Lamont Douglas touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of family, faith, and a passion for life that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Lamont is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly; three children: Lamont II, Kimberly (Deion), and Justin; father, Samuel (Mary); Eight siblings, Rita, Rory, Latrice, Kurt, Cassandra, Michael, Donna, and Dionne; a host of nieces and nephews; two special cousins: Fayrene Muhammad and Antwan Eison; an abundance of more relatives; and countless friends who will forever cherish
