LARRY CORNELL GREEN also known as "Smiley" was born to WL and Sarah Green on September 28, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois.
LARRY CORNELL GREEN attended Harper High School in Chicago, IL, Larry did not like school. He really enjoyed working so he asked his dad if he could drop out of school. His dad agreed but told him he would have to get a job. In 1972, Larry was hired to work at Jewels grocery store. In 1988, He was given an opportunity to work at Cardinal Concrete Construction Company, with his dad doing construction. In 2003, Larry was hired to work at Tootsie Roll which is where he worked until he fell ill.
LARRY CORNELL GREEN enjoyed hanging out with family, drinking, playing cards, dominoes, and listening to dusties. Larry also was a part of the Masons.
LARRY CORNELL GREEN gave his life to the Lord in 2001 while under the leadership of Thomasena "Randy" Hom, Pastor of Speak The Word Church, Chicago, IL. He enjoyed attending Sunday School and Bible Study.
LARRY CORNELL GREEN was united in Holy Matrimony to Clanena Haywood on June 27, 1987. To this union four children were born: Latasha, LaShunda, LA and Antwan.
On Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 6 am; God called Larry to his final rest. Larry was preceded in death by both his parents; WL & Sarah Green; his oldest brother, WL. Burt, His grandparents; Matt and Hattie Sue Dukes, and Rosie Johnson.
LARRY CORNELL GREEN leaves to cherish his memories: His wife Clanena, two daughters; Latasha, LaShunda, two sons; LA & Antwan; and a bonus daughter, LaShay Jordan; five sisters; Shirley (Ted), Hattie (Walter) of Las Vegas, NV., Arlene (Irving) of Sanford, FL., Lolita (Bruce), Crystal Qeanitta); three brothers, W.L. Jr., Michael and Beniot, all of Chicago, IL., eight grandchildren, one great-grandson, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of relatives and friends.
