Lavette Fenwrick's Obituary
Lavette Fenwrick Obituary
LAVETTE FENWRICK, affectionately known as "Siki", was born in Chicago, IL. on September 9, 1960; to proud parents Johnnie Mae Fenwrick-Bailey and
Robert Lionel Fenwrick. Lavette attended Oakenwald South Elementary School; then went on to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. High School. During the younger years,
Lavette loved playing softball; and was dedicated to her team, known as "The Lady Sluggers," who became the '#r Ladies Softball Team' in Chicago, IL.
LAVETTE was known to be the 'life of the party'. When I say the 'life of the party', I mean just that; there wasn't a party going on if she wasn't on the dance floor. Her dancing we will never forget; and let's not talk about her 'Stepping'; she was so smooth and one of the best 'Steppers'; everyone knew that.
LAVETTE was called home to be with the Lord, October 22, 2025, at 9:44 a.m. Lavette is preceded in death by both her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory to: her stepfather, John Bailey, Jr; her four children: Tommy, Tarnisha, Tawanda (Ryan), Taniah, 'bonus daughter', Natashia, and their dad, Tommy Gamer; her 3 sisters: Lenette, Latrece, Latanya, 'bonus sister', Gloria; 3 brothers: Lionel, Lance and Leonardo (whom preceded her in death; as well as all of her grandparents); 2 aunts: Doris and Darlene; 2 uncles: Thomas and Lenear; r great aunt, Martha Jean Duncan; her 12 grandchildren ( one preceded her in death - Ti'Juan); two great-grandchildren; 16 nieces; 8 nephews; and a plethora of cousins, great nieces, great nephews too many to name, but they loved her as well; her close friends: Kelly (who preceded her in death), Shorty, JoAnn, Cathy, Marie Leaks, Nita-Faye, Jackie and Marie Cook Lavette was known to them as "Ella". Lavette had the most uplifting and cheerful spirit. We will truly miss her.
