Leonard Kyles was born July 22, 1945, to the late Mr. Adam Kyles and Mrs. Nancy Gallery Kyles. Leonard was the 15 th child of 16 children born to this union. He graduated High School in Franklin, Alabama where he had a passion for sports and played football.
After graduation, he did further studies earning a certificate in welding. Later he moved to Chicago where he met Catherine Smart. On July 25, 1970, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Catherine Smart. To this union, three children were born. Catherine preceded him in death on November 19, 2001.
Leonard was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather that loved and cared for his family. He was a great provider and like a father to many He had an infectious personality that uplifted everyone whom he en-countered. He was also a professional driver for over 40 years.
Leonard became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic in 1993. He was appointed to the office of Deacon by Pastor Z. M. Craig. He became one of the founding Deacons of the Christian Family Com munity Church in April of 2007. Deacon Kyles served the House of the Lord faithfully until his demise. He departed this life on November 11, 2018, at 5:30 am.
