Mae Helen, a mother who lived her life for her children. Mae Helen was born December 26, 1955, in Mississippi, and moved to Illinois with her family at the age of five. She grew up in both Phoenix and Harvey, Illinois, where she attended Coolidge Grade School and after graduation, she attended Thornton High School.
Mae Helen found love and married the man of her dreams, Richard King. To this union, 4 beautiful children were raised, and loved unconditionally: Carla Loggins, Richard King, Issac King, and Donte McGregory.
Mae Helen accepted God in her life, and she lived her life as a Christian. She loved reading her Bible with a cup of coffee, sitting at her kitchen table. She also enjoyed cooking, Bingo, dancing, and hanging out with friends and family.
God called His Angel home on March 2, 2025 at South Suburban Hospital. She is survived by: Richard King, Issac King, and Donte McGregory; six grandchildren; her siblings: Peter McGregory, Donald McGregory, Carlos
McGregory, Debra McGregory, Carol McGregory, Alice McGregory, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mae Helen is preceded in death by: Richard King (husband), Carla Patrice Loggins (daughter), Leon McGregory (brother), and Carmia McGregory (sister).
