Malisa Tucker Obituary
Malisa Anderson was born on August 17th, 1936 in Arkansas. She confessed her hope in Christ under the leadership of Reverend Johnny Lone at Mount Pisby Baptist Church. She received her education at Chelford Grade School and Trenchman Bayou High School.
Malisa later moved to Blytheville, Arkansas where she met James Tucker, who was from Louisiana, where they then resided. They were united in matrimony in 1957- To this union, two children were born, Gail Yvonne and Cheryl Diane. After leaving Louisiana she then moved back to Blytheville, Arkansas.
Malisa worked numerous jobs until moving to Summit-Argo, Illinois in 1967- She was employed by Molex Company and Boil Midway both in Chicago, Illinois. She later gained employment with Stocker Hinge, Brookfield, Illinois where she retired from in 2000.
Malisa joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend
N.C. Porter in1968 .In 1996, she became a faithful member and served on the Mother Ministry of Progressive Life-Giving Word Catherdral, under the leadership of Apostle Donald Alford Malisa was faithfully attending local churches in Summit-Argo; Argo Temple Church of God in Christ, Elder Wheeher Parker Jr., Pastor; Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Dr. Jimmy Daniels, Pastor; and Antioch Baptist Church, Reverend Dr. Nathaniel Randle, Pastor.
Malisa's parents preceded her in death along with her 5 sisters: Laura, Princecola, Martha, Minnie, Alice and 5 brothers: Eddy, Oscar, Elijah, David and George. Her youngest daughter, Cheryl Diane also preceded her in death. Malisa also had six grandchildren that preceded her in death: Demond, Nicole, Troy Jr, Micheal III, Yasmine and Eliana.
Malisa is SU1vived by her daughters: Wanda Anderson and Gail Tuckei·; one sister, Geneva Anderson; five grandchildren: Keva, Tatiana, Tomika, Channaine, Travis; 12 great-grandchildren: Brian Jr. ,Alyssa, Ashley, Marquez, Maia, Jasmine, Treshawn, Lyric, Miciah, Corey, Christchan and Tamar; 9 great-great grandchildren: Macayla, Majesty, Skylar, Peyton, Maiyah, Amir, Milanie, Akira, Vontres; one goddaughter:
Rita, one godson: Cedrick; Two special people that were close to her heart: JoAnn Mon-is and Wayne Williams; her caregiver: Razz and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Malisa was known to be wise; a great storyteller, nurturing, motherly and selfless. Malisa enjoyed visiting her lovely sister in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and having family gatherings where she found herself at ease with aura of her loved ones all around. She always made it a point to tell and teach her kids and grandchildren about the Lord. Her generosity and loving spirit were evident throughout her life. Malisa was known to her grandchildren as being their "Ride or Die," there is nothing she wouldn't have done for them.
