Margaret Lucille White
July 7, 1932 - August 23, 2023
Margaret Lucille White was born July 7, 1932 in New Brockton, Alabama to Spencer and Annie Mae Jones. Margaret accepted Christ at an early age at Popular Springs Missionary Baptist Church; she is preceded in death by five brothers, and three sisters.
In
1952, Margaret married Willie White, Jr. and to this union three children were born: Willie Louis, Susan Regina (preceded her in death), and Theresa Ann.
In
1955 with Willie Lewis in tow, Margaret followed her husband and moved to Robbins, Illinois. Margaret worked for many years
at Little Company of Mary Hospital, and Astro Cleaners.
In
1955 she joined Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Anthony; later, Rev. Deloyd Miller, and presently, Rev. Ralph Brown; she remained a member until death.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory: son, Willie; daughter, Theresa (Maurice); two grandsons they adopted: James and Jeremy; four sisters: Hellen Barnes (George), Blondell Jones, Judy Heard, Barbara Ann McKenzie (JC); and one brother, Buddy Jones; 11 grandchildren; 26 great, great, grandchildren; nine great, great, great, grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; three Godchildren: Dave Wilson, Monique Perkins, and Tyisha Haynes; and her 'Honorary Grandson', Michael Wallace.
