Mark Jerome Calvin was born October 26, 1964 to James Calvin, Sr. and Opal Calvin. He was born in Chicago, IL. As he grew older the family relocated to Harvey, IL in 1979. He was preceded in death by his dad, James Calvin, Sr.; and his mom, Opal Calvin; he accepted Christ at a very early age.
Mark Calvin attended Thornton High School where he officially became a Wildcat. He took his creative passion for hair and studied Cosmetology at Debbie's Beauty School in Harvey, IL.
Mark Calvin had a special; love for skating, dancing and children. He combined the love of the children with his transportation experience to become a driver for Ruby’s House Homeday. This is where he shared his love daily. Mark had a love for life and having fun, this is where he earned the name “Cheezy”; from the contagious smile he portrayed everywhere he went.
He leaves behind to cherish his love and memories: one daughter Maya Calvin; his brother: James Calvin, Jr. of Harvey, IL(Anntonette Rice); his brother, Jeremiah Sparks of Benton Harbor, MI; two nieces: Jamie Calvin and Christian Calvin; a host of cousins including: Kevin Calvin and Bridgette Calvin; best friends: Captain Curk and Sistah Crystal; and of other family and friends.
