Michael White II's Obituary
Michael White II Obituary
Michael "Milky" White II was born to Margaret Ann and Michael White, a Black Panther who preceded him in death. He was born on Saturday, November 21, 1970, in Berwyn, Illinois. He is the first-born male child among his siblings. Michael was raised in Summit-Argo. Family and friends loved him. He grew up living with his dad and his paternal grandmother Mrs. Ardelia Stokes-Callahan.
Michael was really close to his mom, Ann, and made the most of every chance to talk or spend time with her. Distance never got in the way of their bond. Michael attended Otis P. Graves Elementary School and graduated from Argo Community High School in 1989. He was an avid athlete. He was part of a close group of friends from the Class of 1989 called, "89ers", and a group of fellas that grew up in the Argo community. One of his best friends, Duane "Wanny" Powell, preceded him in death.
He joined the U.S. Air Force after graduating from high school. He followed in his dad's and uncle's footsteps and became a military man. He served in Operation Desert Storm. The tour changed his life. In 1993, Michael was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class (E-3).
Michael became a devoted father when Attlee V. White entered his life in 1997. Attlee forever changed him. Although Michael was stern, he was cool just like his dad. He had a sense of ease in his style and was smooth with it. His style would turn heads, and he knew how to talk the talk and walk the walk as his swagger was unmatched. He knew he looked good.
He was passionate about everything, especially music. He was always listening and playing his music at home and on the way to work. He was humorous, always making someone laugh. He joked about so many things and made you think too. He had a heart of gold and a full mind of wisdom. He gave messages and cold stories to anyone that lent an ear. To know him was to love him. Michael moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 2016 with his late father following suit. He stayed close to family and friends no matter how far away he was. He devoted most of his life to helping friends and family whenever they were in need.
Michael continued with his education. He was a teacher, a leader, and a learner. He achieved several academic credentials, among them are Associate of Applied Science Degree from Coyne College, a Diploma from Cain's Barber College, and a Star Truck Driving School Certification. Michael was accepted into Southern University Shreveport Louisiana Nursing Surgical Technology Program. In Illinois, he worked hard as a Correctional Officer and in his leisure, time cut hair. His last job was a Sterile Processing Technician at Ochsner LSU Hospital.
Preceding Michael in death were his father Michael White, grandparents, his niece Margaret Che'Ann Wyrick, and his cousin Tommy Lee "TL" Johnson III.
He leaves behind his daughter, Attlee V. White; His beloved mother, Margaret Ann White; His brothers and sisters: Adrienne Smith-Wyrick (Robert), Waldo, AK, / Frederick Gary, Chicago Ridge, IL, John Byrd, Bloomington, IL, Robert Byrd, Bloomington, IL, Patrick "Creed" White, Justice, IL, Taylor White, Justice, IL, Aja Moore (Tasha Moore), Snellville, GA,
