Mordel Howard was born on March 15th, 1940 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Wash and Daisy (Montogue) Robinson. She was one of eight children: seven girls and one boy.
Mordel was united in marriage on October 3rd, 1959 to Henry Howard Jr. This union was blessed with four sons and spanned over thirty-five years.
In 1961, Mordel and family relocated to Chicago. Seven years later, they settled in Markham, Illinois making it their home for fifty years.
Mordel was a loving, supportive wife and mother. After working various jobs to help her family, she enjoyed working as a beautician for many years even after retirement.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 16th, 1972. This began her nearly fifty year walk of faith with Jehovah. She enjoyed talking about Jehovah's Kingdom and spending time with many close friends and family.
On Wednesday, May 29th, 2019, Mordel Howard departed this life at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and four sisters.She leaves to cherish her memories her four sons: Clifford, Calvin (Kimberly), Derrick (Saundra), and Bernard Howard; sisters: Novella Burnley and Pauline Norwood; eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
