Roosevelt Haynes Sr. was born October 6, 1944, in Magnolia, MS. to the late Lula and Willie Haynes. He departed his life on October 30, 2024,
at his -residence, after a lengthy illness. Roosevelt attended Central School in. Liberty Mississippi and extended his education at Prentiss College, after college he married
the love of his life, his high school sweetheart Essie M. Powell and moved to Chicago, IL, to this union four children were born.
Roosevelt was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His family was dear to his heart, and he expressed his love for his family. Through words and deeds. Roosevelt gave his life to Chris at a very early ·age and joined Pilgrim .Rest Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS. where his faith in God never wavered.
Roosevelt was a good citizen of the community who was loved and respected for his good works and for his work by all who knew him·. The warmth of his smile and the generosity of his heart will be greatly missed by all. He was employed at Ingersoll Steel for 30 years and later retired·, he enjoyed watching football games with family and friends until his health failed.
Roosevelt was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Carrie Haynes Sexton and seven brothers Willie B. Haynes, Jessie ''Hoochie" Haynes, Eddie Haynes; Claudius
