Sheril Hollins Obituary
Sheril Richmond Hollins was born to Dorothy and Robert Richmond on September 5th, 1963, right outside of Memphis in the small town of Cardova, Tennessee. Sheril was baptized at First United Methodist Church and was blessed with Margaret Collier, Donna Drunton, Bertha Kirkwood and Junita Jackson as godmothers. She was the middle child and sister to Michael Watson and Robert Richmond Jr. Preceding her in death is her godmother Bertha and her mother-in-law Elizabeth McGee.
Growing up, Sheril was a quiet child and enjoyed reading and home economics. As a young woman she loved dancing and going out with her longtime friend Michelle. Sheril was a very accomplished woman,
earning her associate degree from South Suburban College and her bachelor’s degree from Chicago State University in occupational therapy. She worked many years as an occupational therapist and worked over 15 years at the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District.
In 1995, she married the love of her life, Albert Hollins, and to this union two daughters were born, Katrina and Xena Hollins. Sheril loved being a grandmother and adored her two grandchildren Derrick Jr. and Datrina.
Sheril leaves to cherish her loving memories her parents Robert and Dorothy Richmond, brothers Michael Watson and Robert Richmond Jr., husband Albert Hollins, daughters Katrina Stevenson (Derrick Stevenson Sr.) and Xena Hollins, grandchildren Derrick Jr. and Datrina Stevenson, sisters-in-law Cynthia Walker (Willie Walker Sr.),Jacqueline Thomas (Anthony Thomas Sr.), Carolyn Lee (Gerald Lee Sr.), Angela Wallace (Clarence Wallace Jr), best friend Michelle Lee, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
