Shirley was my dear friend, so full of life and so vibrant! She was a very fun-loving person. I worked with Shirlely at UIC COM Advancement office for many years. We enjoyed many laughs together as well as sharing some sad times too. I didn't know her family, but she often spoke of her son, Chris. She loved him dearly and said they had good times together and would laugh and joke a lot. She also spoke lovingly of her grandchildren.  Shirley was a great joy to be around. She would come to work smiling and greet everyone individually. I would snicker and think to myself how Shirley was campaigning and taking it to the people.I wish I would have known about her funeral. I would love to have had an opportunity to say goodbye to my dear friend. I would love to have a copy of the Obituary, if available. I can be reached at [email protected] if available.  Shirley had so many friends at UIC, many I didn't know about. She was so friendly, she talked to everyone in the building. Such a vibrant soul.  My condolences to her family, and her son Chris. She adored you and spoke proudly of you often. Her face would light up with some of her fond memories of traveling with you. It may have been the same story, but she got so much joy in telling it, I never told her I'd heard it before. She was my dear friend, and I loved her. She will be greatly missed by many!
