William Leach's Obituary
William Leach Obituary
Brother William Leach, affectionately known as "Red"; was born on March 12, l':)43 in Shannon, MS. to the late David Leach, Sr. and Ora Mae (Bean) Leach. Bill was the second of eight children. Bill, his parents, and seven siblings relocated to Chicago, Illinois in the early 1960's; where he attended Dwight D. Eisenhower High School.
Bill met and married, "The Love of His Life", his soulmate, Mary L. Jones on December 14, 1963; to the union of Go years was born seven children: Lenora Michelle, Sharon Denise, William, Jr., Michael Germaine, Jose Alberto, Curtis Cinque, and Tiffany Renee.
Bill was gainfully employed at numerous jobs; until in 1973 when he was hired at Sweetheart Cup Company; Bill was a faithful, and dedicated worker of 35 years; he never took a sick day. He retired in 2008.
Bill was the ultimate family man. He loved 'date-nights' with his wife, Mary; late-night runs on the lake with Tiffany, Nicole and Ronnie; and taking his great-grandchildren out to ride bikes, and to fly kites. Bill took pride in teaching his sons the value of hard work; and walking his daughters down the aisle. His family was his priority; and he displayed that daily. He was a jokester, always telling 'corny jokes'.
Bill had many talents. He loved to play the guitar; he was a hat connoisseur, always rocking the most fashionable hats. He kept something new, and clean in the driveway; that was his gift to himself for all his hard work. He loved football; Tom Brady was his favorite player. Bill looked forward to 4:00 a.m. conversations with Brigitte and Brandon; as they arrived in from work. He was a man like no other. He did what God required of him; and as they say, "he ate and left no crumbs", because he understood the assignment. Job well done.
