Willie Anderson Obituary
Willie Lee Anderson was born on April 10, 1942, in Pine Bluff, AR. to the late Mel Moore, and Artule Moore (Tee). Willie was the youngest of two siblings born to this union. Willie's parents, and his brother, Melvin preceded him in death.
After graduating from Blue Island Community High School in Blue Island, IL, he joined Coulons Gym in Chicago, IL. where he began training for the Golden Gloves Boxing Team Later, he began working for Kellar School where at the same time began his fascination for building race cars, racing at the "U.S. 30 Drag Strip"; and then selling the cars that he and his friends had built.
Around 1972, he began working for American Brake Shoe Company in Chicago, IL. He then went on to work for Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, IL.; several years later, he worked for the Chicago Public Schools for a number of years.
Willie even went on to the Police Academy, becoming a Robbins, Illinois Police Officer for sixteen years. He was a Blackbelt in Karate; and one of the best pool sharks in Illinois.
On February 8, 1964, he married Jacqueline E. Starks. To this union one child was born, Kindell Renee'. They were married almost 61 years; and he was dedicated to supporting his family; always working two jobs.
Willie's dedication to family extended beyond his mother, brother, his in-laws, and even to strangers. He was a mentor to many young boys, and young men. Willie confessed Christ at an early age. He later joined New Friendship M.B. Church where he served as the Head Security Guard, and later, he and his daughter began the media ministry videotaping of all the services, especially church anniversaries, choir concerts, and more.
Willie loved driving the church bus; and going to pick up the seniors so that they did not miss Sunday Service. The Seniors were crazy about Mr. Willie. He faithfully served as a member of New Friendship until 1991 when his wife, Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Anderson law1ehed Anointed Word Int'l Ministries Church where he faithfully served as COO, and in many other areas of Ministry until his health challenges caused him to slow down.
Willie made his transition from Earth to Glory on December 15, 2024. He leaves to cherish his memory to his beautiful wife, Rev. Dr. Jacqueline E. Anderson; his daughter, Kindell Renee' Anderson (Kobe & Frasier); Nephew/Son, Michael L. Sanders, Sr. (Veronica) and, Iyisha,; Neice': Tanesha Sanders and Marquita Sanders; Michael Sanders, Jr. (Shiana), Nephews: Wallace Anderson (Lois), Hany, Larry, Gary, and Barry Starks; Sister-in-Law, Gwen Starks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and Bends.
