JR was born to the union of Willie Bruce Fields Sr. and Barbara Barnett-Fields on September 13, 1979 in Harvey, Illinois. He was the youngest of five siblings. One brother Princeton Milton Fields preceded him in death.
JR was an avid reader and sports enthusiast. He played football in high school for the Thornton Wildcats as well as playing for the Harvey Colts. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America almost attaining the highest honor, the Eagle Scout badge. JR worked as a security agent for many years.
JR was a true child of God. He was saved at an early age at the Portland Street Church, COGIC. He knew and loved the Lord. JR has a teenage son, Jalon Fields that he loved and adored. They spent a lot of quality time together. JR nurtured his son for as long as he could.
Sunset: On December 17, 2018 the Lord decided to take him from us. He leaves behind his loving parents Willie and Barbara Fields, two brothers Vincent Bruce Fields and Wanpen (EL) of Miami, Florida; Jason (Connie) Fields of Harvey, IL and one loving sister Tammy Lynn Fields of Chicago Ridge, IL; his son Jalon Lamar Fields and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
